objective

To work on a fast-paced engineering team using modern technologies to build software that interacts directly with users, leveraging my experience in data engineering and human computer interaction.

experience

2014-present      MICROSOFT                                                                                                          SEATTLE, WA

                       Software Engineer II

Worked on the business insights team for Visual Studio. Maintained a pipeline processing petabytes of data coming in from millions of users across the world. Curated the data to help program managers make data-driven business decisions.

·     Heavily involved with keeping team up to date with good practices around test driven development and git methodology.

·     Built internal tools to automate manual tasks for fact table deployment, data anomaly detection and data visualization.

·     Involved in active discussions around the EU’s GDPR and how to prepare.

summer 2013    MICROSOFT                                                                                                          SEATTLE, WA

                       Software Developer in Test Intern

Worked on the JavaScript Compiler for Windows where I built a web scraper which cached the top 500 websites and ran different versions of the compiler to render the sites. By comparing the unexpected changes in abstract syntax trees that the compiler produced we could check for regression bugs between releases.

summer 2012    REZORA                                                                                                               Boulder, CO

                       Computer Science Intern

Built marketing emails with HTML and CSS. Helped code the backend of their site. Primarily written in PHP. Non-technical work included interacting with clients and helping guide design choices for emails which would be sent out to customers.

summer 2012    SIMPLE ENERGY                                                                                                 Boulder, CO
